On june 10th 2024 at approximately 5:15 pm, a fire and explosion occurred at kinder morgan (km)/epng line 1104 parker city gate meter station resulting in a first aid injury. The meter station was a total loss and a vehicle was damaged. The incident occurred when a technician was investigating a high gas pressure alarm on meter run #1. The estimated release of natural gas was 20,944 mcf. There was no esd. Emergency responders were contacted. Operations responded and isolated km/epng l1104 and blew the line down to remove gas flow to the meter station.
