Narrative
On 5/8/2024 at approximately 09:00, texas gas discovered bubbles coming from the ground over its west greenville natural gas storage field 16" pipeline referred to as wggf bac16st. It was suspected that there was a pinhole leak on the pipeline so the line was isolated from all affected storage wells and laterals to the west greenville compressor station. The site has not yet been excavated. A supplemental report will be submitted when investigation and repairs are complete. The response to question b10a is assumed until excavation occurs and will be updated, if needed, when the supplemental report is submitted. 8/22/2024 update to submit final report. Pipe replacement was complete on 7/20/2024 and the line was returned to service on 7/21/2024. 3/7/2025 updated per PHMSA request to change the response for question a14 (part of system involved in incident) from "belowground storage, including associated equipment and piping" to "onshore pipeline, including valve sites," and provide response to additional questions resulting from the change.
