Second party contractor damaged 12'' steel high pressure distribution gas main. The contractor was using an excavator to drive the sheet piling into the ground to support a shoring box. The sheet piling punctured the gas main resulting in a release of gas. The emergency response, repair, and restoration resulted in costs in excess of $145,400.
