Narrative
On march 13, 2024, a potential underground leak was identified near the bechtelsville compressor station yard. On march 13, 2024, texas eastern implemented a 20 percent pressure reduction and the gas leak dissipated. On march 15, 2024, the leak was confirmed to be on a buried electrically insulated flange. On march 21, 2024, the insulated flange was removed and replaced with as section of pipe. The leak was the result of a failed insulated flange gasket. Installation of a new section of pipe to replace the flange resulted repair costs which exceeded the reporting threshold at the time. 05/29/2024 the actual costs under part d 7d. Was updated to $105,253.
