Narrative
Pgs received a leak report on june 26, 2024, at approximately 18:19 that a third-party contractor hit a 6-inch steel gas main attempting to directional drill into the ground, subsequently striking the gas facility. The damage pipe was made safe at approximately 1:30 on 06/27/2024 by turning off two valves and squeezing the damaged area of the pipe. The damage section of 6" steel pipe was repaired on 07/06/2024 at 16:00 and the damaged section of pipe was removed and replaced by welding in new pretested pipe and fittings. The excavated area was back filled, and the surface restored to its original state. The entire section of the replacement main was tested and charted after final repairs were made.
