Narrative
Nicor gas responded to a residential fire reported by the local fire department. The nicor gas field service representative reported that the meter set, regulator, and above-ground service were completely melted. The gas was stopped by a field operations distribution crew at 4:10 p.M. The fire department investigator identified the cause of the incident as a mulch fire. The gas service to the house was abandoned in place and capped.
