On saturday, 3/30/3024 at 01:19 hrs, pse&g was initially notified of an suv that struck a meter-set completely separating it from the service sweep at 106 cliff st, paterson, which has since been updated to 114 cliff street. The damage to the meter-set, which is fed by a 1.25" 15# service created the condition of uncontrolled gas that fed a fire on the premises. A pse&g first responder arrived on site at 01:36 hrs and confirmed the gas fed fire. A pse&g crew reported to the scene and once the fire department was extinguished the fire, retired the service to 114 cliff street at the main and shut gas off at the curb to 112 and 106 cliff street. The building that was struck was evacuated and residents of 106 cliff street that were initially evacuated were allowed back into their homes at 4:15 am. There were no injuries to be reported, but the drive and one passenger of the suv were transported to the hospital for observations.
