Narrative
On march 14, 2024, at approximately 8:25 am, a 4-inch pe high priority gas main was damaged by a third-party contractor attempting to drive a steel pile into the ground, subsequently striking the gas facility. The damage was made safe at approximately 06:27pm on 03/14/2024 by constructing a temporary bypass. A permanent replacement of the damaged pipeline was completed on 03/29/2024 and the bypass was removed completing the replacement project. Pgs received a locate ticket, performed a locate with marks on the ground and provided a positive response on february 20th. In the response, the contractor was requested to contact pgs prior to initiation of excavation, and no contact was received to coordinate and discuss contractors' installation.
