Update: march 24, 2025 - this event remains under investigation. On january 20, 2024, at approximately 4:10 a.M., atmos energy received notification of an explosion. The first atmos energy tech arrived on the scene at 4:58 a.M. On january 20, 2024, and found the gas had been shut off by the fire department. The cause of the leak is still under investigation. A value of 1 was entered in the estimated volume of gas consumed by fire, (part a, 7) and in the volume of gas released (part a, 21c). These are indeterminate amounts. Eight (8) homes were evacuated. The number of people evacuated is unknown. A value of 8 was entered into a22. Twenty-five (25) homes lost service, which includes the 8 homes that were evacuated.
