Narrative
On november 15, 2023, at 14:00 central time a small pin hole leak was discovered on a 1/2 inch grease line attached to mainline block valve #8 on the aegis pipeline near vinton, louisiana by field personnel. Enterprise continued monitoring the leak site to determine the best possible repair method and the event was determined to be reportable at 18:20 central time on 11/17/2023 due to the anticipated repair cost exceeding $50k resulting in immediate notification to nrc. The upstream valve was closed at 06:12 am 22nd november 2023 and the line continued to be in-service until the product was removed and the downstream valve was closed at 20:57 pm on 22nd november 2023. The damaged 1/2 inch grease line was cut-out and replaced and returned to service on november 26, 2023, at 15:53 pm.
