Narrative
12/12/23 on november 13, 2023 at approximately 07:58, an employee identified a pinhole leak on a weld on a fixed 1" pipe attached to a pump case. An estimated 282 lbs (2 barrels) was released to atmosphere. Equipment was isolated at 08:08 and the release ended at approximately 10:49 on 11/13/23. The root cause of the release is still under investigation. 2/16/2024 supplemental report; no update at this time. Root cause is still under investigation at. 3/15/24 final report - exxonmobil has confirmed the root cause of the release to have been caused by a manufacture defect.
