Narrative
At 06:00 on october 16th, 2023 operations personnel arriving at fargo terminal observed product leaking from a corrosion coupon holder on the incoming cenex line. At approximately 06:02 operations control shut down the incoming pipeline and at 6:05 personnel closed the 2" valve, isolating the coupon holder. Clean-up activities were initiated. Further investigation found the o-ring between the cap of the coupon and the body of the holder had some pitting. To prevent re-occurrence the coupon holder was removed, replaced with a blind, and sent to the manufacturer for inspection and rebuild.
