On 9/30/2023 at 4:49 am cdt pipeline control received scada indication of a release on lid 205. The affected pipeline segment was immediately shutdown and isolated. Pipeline control confirmed with field personnel that a release occurred. The affected pipeline segment was replaced, and the pipeline was returned to service. After investigation the failure was determined to be an original manufacturing lack of fusion feature containing an area of ductile growth at the base. Initial nrc notification was made on 9/30/2023 at 5:22 am cdt (nrc #1380513). 48 update was provided to nrc on 10/1/2023 at 12:20 pm cdt (nrc #1380605). Update to 48-hour update was made to nrc on 10/2/2023 at 8:37 am cdt (nrc #1380651).
