Operators noticed a sheen coming from smi-239d while pumping down stock tank. After investigating, it was found to be a pinhole on the riser of the 6' departing oil pipeline psn-9050 the pipeline was subsequently placed out of service. Since cox wanting to address all of the external corrosion in this area of the riser, cox decided to replace a spool piece in lieu of a clamp. Also bsee has issuing cox incs for clamps on a risers in the past which we wanted to avoid. The repair was completed on 10/09/2023. Yes, this area was identified for moderate corrosion during the last atmospheric inspection.
