Narrative
On july 13, 2023, a fire was observed at a valve station on ineos pipeline corridor at persimmon bayou, in brazoria county, tx. Ineos and local emergency personnel responded to the scene, isolated the segment of pipelines, and installed temporary flares to safely dispose of petroleum products entrained in the isolated segments. The fire was largely extinguished by 9:30 p.M. On the same day. The root cause was determined to be crack formation, based on investigation and metallurgical tests of the damaged pipe.
