On 7/14/23 at 11:41, local operations discovered a leak at the sun terminal meter station manifold. The control room was contacted and shut down and isolated the facility. A fitting on the 16-inch pressure relief line was identified as the source of the leak. Approximately, 28 barrels of crude oil was released to soil and rock inside the station. Clean-up crews removed free product and contaminated soil/rock. The failed piping was cut out and replaced. The cause of the failure was determined to be internal corrosion.
