At 08:30 on june 13th, 2023 magellan personnel conducting a daily facility inspection observed product dripping from a valve on tank 1429 at rosemount terminal. Containment and clean-up activities were initiated; product transfer out of tank 1429 began. Further investigation determined the packing of a needle valve failed, allowing product to seep from the stem. Once the tank level was below the valve, the valve was removed and to prevent reoccurrence, the threaded connection was plugged.
