Narrative
On 10/4/2023 at approximately 6:15am cst a response was initiated to the cm-10 cimarron gathering line based on a low-pressure alarm received by centralized booster monitoring group. Response efforts concluded that the cm-10 line had ruptured at approximately 6:11 am. The orion volunteer fire department chose to close a rural road and evacuate 6 local homes. The line was isolated, secured, and an investigation is underway. At 4pm cst local news coverage released incident and evacuation information unknown to operator. A subsequent flow analysis calculated release volume greater than 3mmcf. Supplemental report 12/12/23 : amended part g to include results from metallurgical analyses indicating internal corrosion caused by top of the line corrosion occurring in an environment containing CO2 and water. Received the metallurgical report 11/16/23. Supplemental report 7/11/24. Added cost of the metallurgical analysis report.
