This leak was caused by a crack in a weld on a previously installed fitting. We are unsure of the installation date of the fitting. Our inventory maps show a date of 1951 but the installation date is not on the map. We were able to install 3-way stopple fitting to make the repair. We replaced 40' of pipe and one 2" valve. The leaking section was removed from the pipe.
