Narrative
Received a call from clarendon, vermont fire chief, for smell of propane at 20 innovation drive. Upon arrival the gas was shut off, no longer releasing gas. The underground 30,000 gallon propane tank had become unearthed on one end. The supply line to regulator cracked, as tank floated out of ground. No damage to container occurred. We had excessive rain and flooding in the area in vermont. The tank has been buried at this location for over 20 years without issue. We evacuated product from the tank, then flared off remaining propane vapor.
