Narrative
On 07/14/2023 socalgas crews responded to an under-pressure condition at 343 n. Lima street, sierra madre, pasadena. On investigation completed to date regarding the under-pressure condition, socalgas identified a leaking 6-inch water main at the cross point of a 2" steel gas main that bore a hole into the gas main and filled the gas main with water, the gas pressure was overcome by the water pressure, affecting multiple services and the main. This incident was reported to the cpuc due to under-pressure. This was reported to the DOT due to gas release and damage exceeding $139,700.
