On 9/28/2022, oneok technicians were performing routine DOT inspections on the discharge transmitter located on the station piping header at the hammet booster station. The technicians heard a noise and observed a small flame originating from a 1" insulted union associated with the launcher trap's thermal piping. The flame was located approximately 50' away from the work activities. After approaching the location, oneok technicians manually closed the thermal piping isolation valves, which extinguished the fire.
