On 9/11/2022 at 0409 et the line 01 controller received a high booster station sump alarm for the line 01 booster station at atlanta junction. The controller called local operations, and a local operator went to the booster station to check the sump. A mist of product was observed coming from the booster station check valve leak detection jar located near unit 4, between the suction and discharge valve. Local operations notified the control center. The booster station was by-passed, and the suction and discharge valves were manually closed to isolate the booster station. Contract crews were dispatched to excavate the surrounding gravel and soil. The check valve was repaired by replacing the packing, and the booster station was returned to normal operations. Update: internal accident investigation was completed and confirmed equipment failure as the cause.
