At approx. 1005 cdt on 31jul22 aircraft surveillance arrived at the st41 buoy location and verified a 60 ft x 1.75 mile silver sheen with a rainbow in the color at the source only. Divers arrived onsite at approximately 1230 cdt on 31jul22 to investigate the hose connection assembly at the st41 buoy. At 1348 cdt on 31jul22, the hose valve connection was successfully closed. The sheen naturally dissipated, and it is estimated a total of 1.15 gallons of crude oil was released into the gulf of mexico .
