Narrative
At approximately 16:45 on 6/5/22, a 1/4-inch copper pressure relief line off of a valve cracked releasing 4 barrels of crude oil to the central manifold area. The line was isolated and the onsite cleanup crew was called to the area. Vacuum trucks were used to remove all free product. The copper pressure relief line failed as a result of normal wear from operations. The copper tubing was replaced with stainless steel tubing. To aid in prevention of similar future occurrence, copper tubing in similar service will be systematically replaced with stainless steel tubing.
