06/01 update - the revision to this report provides updated costs associated with the event. Pg&e will continue to document costs associated with this incident and will provide a final report once all information is confirmed. On saturday, october 8, 2022, at approximately 15:48 hours, pg&e was notified of an explosion at 2793 river plaza dr., sacramento, ca. A pg&e gas service representative responded to shut off the gas to the meter. During a subsequent leak survey, a leak at a service tee near the building was located. The fire department, police, and media were reported on site. No fatalities or injuries were reported. This incident was reported once estimated damage was confirmed to be at least $129,300k. This incident has been reported to cpuc and DOT (1349399/1349521). The crack was discovered when the tee was exposed by excavation during the leak investigation following the incident. Pg&e will continue its investigation and will provide a supplemental/amended report once all information is confirmed.
