Narrative
A crew from johnson county remc was repairing a buried 3 phase electric service 4' from the home located at 5409 innisbrooke pl, greenwood in when the gas service caught on fire, catching the home on fire. The remc crew had been using a blow torch to heat shrink the repair. The 3-phase electric repair was approximately 7 inches below the gas service line. Remc crew stated they had spotted the gas service, which was correctly located, used a shovel to protect the plastic gas line before introducing flame near it. While using the flame to shrink wrap the repair, there was an ignition of the gas line.
