At approximately 2:15 am est on march 3, 2022, the accident storage facility (garrett county, md) experienced an esd. The esd occurred while in the process of transitioning from storage injection to storage withdrawal. The cause was determined be a valve malfunction. The valve malfunction was due to debris in a solenoid. The solenoid was replaced, and the system was returned to service the same day.
