Narrative
Third-party vehicle ran off the roadway traveling westbound on east parmer lane at a high speed and crashed through fencing, concrete-filled steel bollard posts with welded steel crossbars, and the texas gas service (tgs) regulator station at subject location before damaging and coming to rest against atmos energy's metering station, which feeds tgs's station and distribution system. The vehicle's impact caused the piping to separate, leading to an unintentional release of gas from the inlet and outlet sides of tgs's regulator station. After damaging the atmos energy metering station, the vehicle came to rest on top of the atmos energy piping. Atmos energy's measurement instrumentation was damaged and could not provide a volume of gas that flowed through the station during and after the incident. Tgs has no knowledge of the damage estimates for atmos facilities or the vehicle at fault for the incident.
