Narrative
The ntsb is not looking at the pipeline as causal or contributory in the collapse of the bridge as the evidence gathered to date suggests the pipeline was damaged by the collapse. When also considering the response to the rupture stabilized the situation before any fire or explosion events, the ntsb sees no need to conduct any further examination of the pipe or related materials and will not be securing any such materials for later testing. Ten people were injured as a result of the bridge collapse. No injuries related to the pipeline. The pipeline was damaged at both sides of the fern hollow bridge: west side ( 40.439536, -79.901115 ) and east side ( 40.439621, -79.899509 ).
