At 15:15 on september 25, 2020, magellan operations personnel observed stained gravel at tank 144. Cleanup activities were initiated and an investigation was initiated to determine the cause of the stained gravel. After further investigation, it was determined that a corrosion feature near the shell stiffening angle towards the top of the tank was the source of the release.
