Narrative
On september 18, 2020 at 10:42, an operator discovered product on the ground coming from the roof of tank 150-5. The roof drains were isolated and the product was cleaned up immediately. On september 19, 2020 at 14:00 it was determined that the cost would exceed $50,000 due to needing to take the tank out of service to make repairs. The source of the leak was pinholes in the roof caused by coating failure. Plan for prevention: the tank was taken out of service to perform the API 653 earlier than required. Repairs are being made.
