At 10:30 am on april 27, 2020 magellan operations personnel noticed product dripping from a 12" mainline check valve into concrete containment within the independence, ks facility. The line was isolated and cleanup activities were performed. Upon further investigation it was determined that the o-ring on the check valve flapper shaft failed due to normal wear and tear. The o-ring was replaced and the line was placed back into service.
