Narrative
Station located inside metal building on the customer's property (arcelor mittal steel). Tap connected to 1/2" welded half coupling was damaged. The pipe nipple broke at the threaded point where it engaged into the half coupling. There was a vibration at the station that caused the nipple to crack. The nipple had a cap on the outlet side of the fitting, which was replaced with a pipe plug. The plug is thicker at the threaded point and will serve the same purpose.
