Narrative
While investigating a non-hazardous leak, an 8-inch steel main was discovered to be leaking due to corrosion. The coating appeared to have been previously damaged during a fiber optic conduit installation. Gas was made safe by installing control fittings on both ends of steel main. A 21-foot section of steel main was replaced to complete the repair and returned the main to normal service. A 48 hour update to the nrc was made on august 31, 2019 at 14:43. Report number 1256971.
