Narrative
On february 8, 2019, a four inch steel distribution main located at prudence road and calle madero was hit and damaged by a third party excavator. Thirty five individuals were evacuated from multiple buildings due to the proximity of escaping gas. A valve isolation plan was utilized to safely control the flow of gas and resulted in an outage of 956 accounts. Repairs to the damaged facility were completed 7.5 hours after initial shutdown and the isolated sections were placed back into service. On february 9, 2019, at 1830 hours, customer relights were completed and door tags were hung for the remaining cgi's. There were no injuries or fatalities as a result of this incident.
