Approximately 3 bbls of crude oil were released when a pump shaft broke on the tank booster, causing a gap between the shaft and seal. Plains installed a new seal and motor. In addition, plains will add seal leak detection at this site. 09/24/2024 - updated by PHMSA per operator approval.
