Narrative
On 4/20/18 at 11:05 am, during a routine facility inspection, about 2 bbls of crude oil was discovered on the ground on tank-41120 suction line. This line was immediately shutdown, blocked in, clean up and remediation began. Leak occurred due to a small pinhole on the bottom of the suction line. The line will remain out of service until repair is made. Update (10/29/2018): to prevent reoccurrence, piping where leak occurred was removed from service and new pipe was installed above ground from the tank valve to the pump valves. Newly installed pipe was retuned back into normal operations on august 8, 2018. While line was in operation, the remaining portion of the project was completed on 9/28/2018, which consisted of coating and painting of the pipeline.
