Narrative
A 3/4 ton pickup truck was traveling down a snow-covered road and lost control, traveling off the road, hitting a fence, and striking the meter setting, which resulted in a gas fed fire. The truck rolled over and came to rest on the driver's side door with the fire impinging on the cab and bed of the truck. The driver was transported to the hospital with third-degree burns. According to the state highway patrol's report, the driver traveled at an unsafe speed for the weather conditions (high winds, blowing snow, and black ice), failed to control his vehicle, crossed the centerline, and traveled 18 feet, 9 inches off the road before hitting the meter setting. Please consider this report final.
