Narrative
The san antonio police department report stated that the two residents of the home smelled the odor of gas in the home for a week. The male resident went into a back room of the home and lit a candle. Upon lighting the candle, an ignition and subsequent explosion occurred. The male resident was transported to the hospital for burns to his arms and hands. Cps energy gas troubleman conducted an outside leak investigation and found gas reads under the slab, in the yard and in the sewer vent. Cps energy leak crews found the cause of the gas leak to be a cracked polyethylene butt fuse on the 1" gas service serving the house next door. The area around the cracked polyethylene butt fuse was surrounded by dense tree roots. Cps energy leak surveyed the surrounding area including the entire 2k grid map that is on the leak survey cycle.

Narrative
