Approximately 320 bbls of crude oil were released from a failed strainer, upstream of the casper station south booster. After excavation, it was determined that the failure was a result of internal corrosion, which had caused a perforation of the strainer housing. The strainer has been removed and the piping blinded. All oil was contained within the stations bermed and diked area.
