Narrative
At approximately 1108 hrs on tuesday, october 3, 2017, the controller on the mapl seminole console noticed a pressure drop on the seminole blue line. Seconds later, he received a call from a contractor on site reporting that while doing a line crossing a line was struck and product was releasing. The controller shut down the line and blocked all mov valves in the area. The pipeline was properly located and marked per procedure. Enterprise had a representative on site during the excavation. The contractor failed to maintain proper clearance. The importance of maintaining a proper tolerance zone has been communicated to field personnel. The damaged section of pipe was removed and replaced. The pipeline was restarted on 10/8/17.
