Narrative
On may 25, 2017 at approximately 2331 hours, pg&e was notified of a vehicle incident at county rd 20 and county rd p, in the city of orland, glenn county. A vehicle struck a fenced-in distribution gas regulator station, hit the bollards, and damaged the equipment on site resulting in an unintentional release of gas. Pg&e gas service representative (gsr) arrived onsite at 2340 hours and shut in gas at 0025 hours on may 26, 2017. There was no customer impact. The customers downstream were served through cng (compressed natural gas). The reg station was rebuilt and brought back on line on 8/03/17. The fire department and police department was reported on site. There was no media, no injuries or fatalities. No ignition was reported. This incident is now being reported to the DOT and cpuc due to estimated cost of repairs exceeding $50k. The $50k criterion was determined on august 16, 2017 at 1500 hours. This secondary report is being provided 30 days after determination.
