A vehicle traveling on w. Washington street veered off the roadway and struck and damaged an aboveground regulator station, shearing a 2" riser allowing natural gas to escape and ignite. Before encountering the regulator station, the vehicle destroyed the protective barrier as well as snapping a utility pole.
