Narrative
A contractor was installing water main and struck a 4" plastic gas distribution main while excavating with a backhoe. Locates were made by the contract locator but the gas main was mis-located. Adequate gas pressure could not be maintained to make repairs to the gas distribution main which resulted in the loss of gas service to 584 customers.
