On june 19, 2016, unit #8 guardian panel lost communication at bob west compressor station and caused a vent valve to open. Natural gas was release to the atmosphere through the vent stack of a sufficient quantity to require notification to the nrc. The vent valve was isolated from suction/discharge header so that the remainder of the compressor station could remain in service. There were no injuries, fatalities, or property damages.
