A tank mixer primary seal failed allowing crude to be released to the ground. The secondary seal was engaged to stop the release. All product was contained within the facility and cleaned up. Mixer was replaced and sent to the manufacturer for analysis. The manufacturer determined the shaft bearing and bushing wear resulted in shaft wear, causing the seals to leak.
