Contractor was working on row and discovered bubbles coming up in mud and high pressure 'air' coming from ground. Contractor contacted bear creek storage employee. Employee arrived with gas detector and determined that a gas release was evident in a creek coming through matting. The leak was initially discovered on 11/9/2015 and during an initial conference call that day was determined to net be reportable. On 11/10/2015, it was determined that the repair costs for the event would exceed $50,000, thus making the event reportable. The nrc was contacted on 11/10/2015. Repair performed by replacing a segment of pipe. Pipeline returned to service on 11/20/2015. Updated 6/23/2016 to revise cause of corrosion in sections g7 and g8 based off metallurgical analysis. Submitted report as final on 8/16/2016 with no changes.
