Narrative
Contractor (j&l schwartz construction) was installing an electric service to a remodeled home. Property owner had called in a one call locate request. The gas main was adequately marked and a pipeline marker post is by the damage site. The contractor dug across the natural gas main and a telephone cable with a rented trencher and cut both facilities. The gas ignited and burned the rented trencher beyond repair. There were no injuries.
