Narrative
P/l # 2014-1600 southwest gas corporation (swg) responded to a call by the fire department at 01:58 regarding an above ground pipe that had been hit by a vehicle and was leaking at ocotillo road and ellsworth loop road in queen creek. Upon arrival, swg was advised that a collision between two automobiles caused injuries to three people and they were being transported to the hospital due to the accident. The vehicle accident also damaged dr # 426130 and gas was blowing from a broken sense line. Swg crews responded and controlled the flow of gas by utilizing two above ground station valves at the regulator station. Notification was made to PHMSA via the national response center (nrc) at 03:32 hours report number 1104372 concerning an estimated damage exceeding $50,000. There were no fatalities as a result of the incident.
